Eve and the Pearls of Wisdom

24x48" oil on linen. 3 years ago when I began painting, the fifth painting that I did was entitled Forbidden. It was an attempt at the story of Eve and her deception. I failed at it miserably and promised myself that someday I would try again. This is my second attempt. The painting is huge, a 24x48 canvas. The biggest painting I have ever done up to now. It shows the story of Eve... and how in her own ignorance she believed that she could be like God... thus the title. Eve had no wisdom at all and once she had gained the knowledge of good and evil, she realized the folly of her decision.
