Sitting here this morning, looking back over the 5 years I have been painting... I see so much change. A bit of progress in how I apply the paints, but more importantly, a change of attitude. Although it was necessary for me personally, my early work was full of anger, and unresolved childhood issues... but, in looking at my gallery, I see such a "cleaning out" of those negative emotions. Now, although my work may include negative emotional topics, it seems to show the internal changes within me. The abandonment of grudges, and anger, replaced with happiness, and hope, even in the face of adversity. There has been much emotional and spiritual growth in my life, and my art was a major help in that transformation. Obviously all of my work is autobiographical... I know no other way to paint. I experience, and then I illustrate... and the most profound "journal" of my life lies within my paintings. Some people have abandoned my art... as they seem more interested in the negative expressions, but others have joined me on this journey of hope and enlightenment. I welcome my new friends...
Thumbs up from me! I always say art is therapy, and I can see the change in my art as well. It's a powerful tool to be able to express ones emotions trough it, and I personally think that is the best kind of art.
Well, the payoff is definitely better! Money comes, money goes... but emotional well-being and spiritual growth stays forever!! Thankyou...
I value your talent, and like (all) of your expressive works Congratulations to you on your cleansing... I think our art is a reflection of our past present and our bright and shiny futures. Keep making those wonderful painting for me to escape into.
